报告人：Dr.Haijun Chen (Department of Biological Sciences, University at Albany, State University of New York, U.S.A.)
Dr. Chen graducated from Hust on Bioengineering in 1987 (B.S.) and Biomedical Engineering at Tongji Medical University in 1990 (M.S.) and got his Ph.D degree on Physiology and Biophysics at Max-Planck Institute, Friedrich-Schiller University of Jena, Germany. He is Tenure-Track Assistant Professor (under review of the promotion to Associate Professor with Tenure) at Department of Biological Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences, State University of New York-Albany, Albany, NY, USA.
His research areas are: Molecular properties of ion channels and signaling in the cell membrane; Molecular mechanisms of potassium channel function; Inter-subunit interactions of potassium channel complexes; Protective effects of Potassium channels during ischemia; Regulation of synaptic function in epilepsy (http://www.albany.edu/biology/faculty/hchen/research.shtml).
