Education:
I hold a M.Sc. in Chemical engineering (The Technical University of Denmark, 1986). I have been employed at Novo Nordisk/Novozymes in 27 years and for 7 of the last 12 years as senior Director within applied research for which I have headed several of Novozymes research areas - among others the responsibility for our BioEthanol R&D area (the strongest growing business area within Novozymes).
Current job:
For the past 5 years I have been the Senior Director for “Connect&Innovate”, a new function in Novozymes. Finding and adapting external innovation is of tremendous potential value to any organization and will help to develop and grow new opportunities. C&I is a new unit in R&D which focus on technology and product/idea scouting. A global network is build with innovation partnership managers in China, Japan, India, Brazil, Europe and US.. The structure of the group focus on bringing good ideas into Novozymes, connect to new valuable technologies and help with outsourcing of Novozymes R&D activities – all activities are aligned with the various internal strategies and the wishes from our different R&D areas：
“C&I” has 4 main focus areas based on scientific networking:
1. Identify new technologies and opportunities for in sourcing
2. Identification of new technology platforms which can sustain new business development
3. Open technology/opportunity scouting in regions with emerging R&D (reverse innovation)
4. Outsourcing of R&D tasks in low cost countries – expert tasks or routine work
Professional Background：
1986: Novo A/S, hired as chemist and as the first rotation trainee in the company – entering in a 3 year program for production, marketing and research assignments
1990: Promoted as a manager – Enzyme chemistry
1999: Promoted as Director for Protein Chemistry
2000: After the merger of our R&D divisions, promoted as senior Director for one of the applied R&D units, covering among other grain processing R&D (Fuel EtOH, Starch, brewing)
2007 ->: Senior Director for C&I, Connect&innovate, with reference to Thomas Schaeffer, VP of Innovation office.
里伟博士简历
2004年毕业于大连理工大学生物工程系，获学士学位；2009年毕业于清华大学化工系，获博士学位；同年加入诺维信（中国）投资有限公司研发亚洲生物能源部任研究员，项目经理；2011年10月转入研发外联部任高级研究员至今。
