美国杜克大学材料科学与机械工程学院 Anderson-Rupp 教授，生物医学工程系教授，美国机械工程师学会（ASME）会士，美国生物医学超声/生物反应振动声学学会技术委员会委员，NIH MERIT Award 奖，美国泌尿外科疾病基金会/塞尔新研究者研究奖， 杜克大学 Capers & Marion McDonald 指导建议奖，在 PNAS 和 PRL 等杂志上发表了多篇高水平论文。研究主要集中在冲击波碎石术（SWL）、超声介导药物和基因传递，高强度超声聚焦（HIFU）肿瘤治疗和超声空化的生物效应。在超声波碎石和组织损伤的基础研究中做出了重大贡献，以及提出无损伤的治疗方法来提高对尿石症患者的安全性和疗效。
Dr. Pei Zhong is Full Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering at Duke University, Durham, North Carolina, with research interest primarily on shock wave lithotripsy (SWL), ultrasound-mediated drug and gene delivery, high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) for cancer therapy, and bioeffects of cavitation. He is a nationally and internationally established leader in the field of SWL and therapeutic ultrasound. He have contributed significantly to the fundamental knowledge of stone comminution and tissue injury in SWL, as well as development of innovative technologies for improving the safety and efficacy of this non-invasive treatment modality for patients with urolithiasis. As a result, he was awarded a NIH MERIT Award in 2010 for his long-lasting research efforts and contributions to SWL. He was also elected a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical
