一、论坛简介
国际青年学者东湖论坛生命科学与化学化工分论坛，旨在集聚海内外生命科学、化学与化工相关学科的不同学术背景的海内外优秀青年学者，在国际前沿科技及热点研究领域展开交流与探讨。通过报告和讨论，促进国际学者之间的交流和合作，共同为解决国际前沿问题和建设可持续发展的未来而努力。
二、申请条件
年龄在40岁以下；具有海外知名大学博士学位；或者具有国内博士学位，并在海外工作2年以上。
1. 在生命科学及相关领域（如生命科学、生物医学工程、生物技术、生物信息、生物医学、生物制药、生物统计学等）取得一定成绩或具有发展潜力的海内外优秀青年人才。
2. 在化学、化工相关领域（如分析化学、高分子化学与物理、化学工程、无机化学、物理化学、有机化学、应用化学等）取得一定成绩或具有发展潜力的海内外优秀青年人才。
三、申请时间
登陆了解东湖论坛有关情况。申请者发送个人简历（包括个人照片、教育及工作经历、研究工作创新成果简介以及发表文章情况等）至分论坛联系人（生命科学）hx@hust.edu.cn（化学化工），同时抄送至东湖论坛学校联系人mqchen@hust.edu.cn。
4月10日申请截止；4月15日前发出参会通知。
四、日程安排
5月8日全天报到；
5月9-10日论坛报告与交流。
五、差旅及住宿
受邀参会学者往返差旅经费由主办单位提供（最高差旅补助为每人1万元人民币），论坛期间食宿由主办单位统一安排。

1. About the Forum
The Sub-forum for life science, chemistry and chemical engineering of the East Lake International Forum for Outstanding Overseas Young Scholars(East Lake Forum) aims at gathering outstanding young scientists and technologists all over the world to interact and discuss emerging frontiers in science and technology. The sub-forum for life science covers a wide range of disciplines including Biology, Biomedical engineering, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Bio-pharmaceutical engineering, Biomedicine etc. The sub-forum for chemistry and chemical engineering covers a wide range of disciplines including analytical chemistry, polymer chemistry and physics, chemical engineering, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, organic chemistry, applied chemistry, etc. Through presentations and discussions, the forum will foster cross-disciplinary exchange and cooperation among the meeting participants in emerging scientific and technological fields and contribute to sustainable development.
2. Requirements for applicants
To be eligible to apply, you must:
  Be under 40 years of age as of December 31th, 2016
  Hold a doctoral degree from a world renowned university or a from a Chinese university with at least 2-year overseas working experience
  Have innovation and talent in your research areas (life science, chemistry or chemical engineering)
3. Deadline for application
Please visit our website and submit your resume ( incuding photo, education&working experience and publication list etc) to wuying2010@hust.edu.cn（life science）hx@hust.edu.cn（chemistry and chemical engineering）by April 10th, 2016. Qualified applicants will be contacted by April 15th, 2016.

May 8th: All-day check-in
May 9th -10th: Opening Ceremony, Invited speeches and Presentations
5. Travel and Accommodation
Participants can enjoy travel reimbursement (￥10,000 top), free accommodation and catering during the forum.
